A little clarity before the plot.
Terms draft. Counsel review, operator identity, eligibility jurisdictions, age requirements, and dispute contact must be completed before public launch.
Participation.
Downtober is a community storytelling event for October 2026. You are responsible for your content and must have the rights to share it. Do not impersonate others, manipulate votes, bypass restrictions, or interfere with the service. The community rules form part of these terms.
Your content.
You retain ownership of your stories. By submitting, you allow the service to store, moderate, display, and generate share images for your content as needed to operate the event. You may withdraw a story. Moderation records and finalized campaign snapshots may remain after public removal.
No financial promise.
Points and milestone badges recognize community engagement. They are not tokens, investments, transferable assets, guaranteed compensation, or a promise of future value. Financial rewards remain disabled until separately specified, genuinely funded, verified, and covered by published terms. Do not spend money or take financial risks based on participation.
Moderation and availability.
The operator may limit accounts, exclude invalid votes, remove content, and resolve appeals under the community rules. The service may be interrupted. Before public launch, counsel must review applicable consumer rights, liability terms, eligibility, intellectual-property procedures, dispute handling, and governing law. This draft does not replace mandatory legal rights.
